Zhongyang Dajie / Sophia (中央大街 / 圣索菲亚) is the default first-timer base. The Ice City: a Russian-built old town of onion domes and cobbled Zhongyang Dajie, St. Sophia Cathedral - and, late December to February, the Ice and Snow World, the biggest ice-sculpture festival on earth.
