Who should not stay where
- Flat and metro-less, Yinchuan runs on BRT and ¥7-start taxis — old town to Jinfeng is a 15-20 min ride.
- Stay in the old town for food streets and the airport bus; move to Jinfeng for new hotels and the Ningxia Museum; choose Xixia for the west-line sights.
- The west-line trio (Xixia Tombs, Zhenbeibao, Helan rock art) is closest from the Xixia district, which also owns the city's best night market.
- Street-facing rooms in the old town and at Huaiyuan market hear noise late — book non-street or high floors if you sleep light.
